Digital Training / Literacy
What is digital literacy?
Digital literacy is navigating our digital world using reading, writing, technical skills, and critical thinking. It’s using technology—like a smartphone, PC, e-reader, and more to find, evaluate, and communicate information.
EKF believes that digital literacy skills enable students to access information in ways and then communicate what has been learned with others, giving students a more prominent voice in the world around them.
It is difficult to picture education and learning in the contemporary digital age without access to technology and E-learning content. Nonetheless, there remains a significant digital gap in the availability and quality of education supplied to our society’s “underprivileged” segments.
Edudevs Knowledge Foundation has made substantial efforts in an attempt to bridge this divide and strives for an inclusive and equitable digital India. The Digital Literacy Program has been an important intervention in this direction.

Program
The Digital Literacy Program starts by mobilising and orienting key stakeholders as well as the greater community. Students who express an interest in participating in the programme are counselled. Parents are also counselled and informed about the program’s benefits.
The course lasts 20 hours and covers topics such as introduction to digital devices, operating digital devices, introduction to the Internet, Internet communications, and Internet applications.
Intention
The curriculum is intended to teach theoretical as well as practical information. Students who successfully finish the digital literacy training course are evaluated using an online portal. At the completion of the course, they each receive a certificate. After completing the digital literacy workshops and course, the student should comprehend the function of digital technology in our daily lives and be able to use it successfully.
We at EKF are aiming to bring out change by identifying the areas where there is a need to bring about the change. We will be doing it by aligning to science, technology, engineering, and maths standards, engaging students through hands-on learning, and collaborating with organisations that are already in the field of digital training and literacy.
